Wincanton faced Oldlands Abbotonians at home trying to avenge a 2-1 away defeat back in September.
The wasps started lively and had several good chances early on but Connor Williams, Marcus Cook and Matt Morley all saw chances go close. The turning point then came on the 12th minute when the Oldland striker inexplicably kicked Kieran Davis in the upper part of his body off the ball right in front of the linesman and saw red reducing the away side to 10 men.
They then put all of these behind the ball and tried to make it difficult for the hosts but wincanton were so on top the game was almost like a training game, a 14 minute flurry saw us scored 5 goals before half time, goals coming from marcus cook, 2 from young Midfielder Tom Morris and 2 from no.9 Connor williams.
The second half was always going to be a tighter affair with Oldlands plan clearly damage limitation but eventually 2 more goals came, another from striker Williams netting his hat trick and a goal in a 2 minute cameo from midfielder George Rigby.
A day to remember for the wasps as they look confidently ahead to next Saturday's trip to Roman Glass St George.
