TOOLSTATION WESTERN LEAGUE BULLETIN #42

Les Phillips Cup Final: Congratulations to Division One club Hengrove Athletic who defeated their Premier Division opponents Willand Rovers by 2-1. James Dunn had put the underdogs in front in the 35th minute before Willand equalised with 20 minutes to go with a goal from Angus Wilson. However straight from the kick off Hengrove pushed forward and Dunn found himself inside the goal area and volleyed the ball past the Willand keeper Chris Wright for his second goal to make it 2-1. Hengrove held on despite constant Willand pressure in the closing stages to win the cup for the first time in the clubs history.
